We Dreamed of You

We Dreamed of You – Redeeming Trisomy 18 is a personal reflection of loss and grief.

As Julie retraces the steps of her journey with Trisomy 18, she struggles to make sense of her unborn baby’s terminal diagnosis while trusting in God’s sovereignty.

She finds herself at a series of crossroads that forces her to confront the validity of her faith and the certainty of the hope she believed in.

“Where does hope that is defined by mere ‘wishing’ leave us, when what we hoped for does not eventuate and we are left broken by the sheer devastation of shattered dreams, yawning graves, severed relationships and left-field diagnosis’? Would the foundation I’d built my hope on be able to withstand the unpredictability of grief’s fury? Some of my hopes were based on what I wanted and what I prayed for but was my faith strong enough to get through this?”

Through Julie’s journaling, blog entries, poetry and the Word, she chronicles her way towards healing and restoration. This is her testimony.
