The Story of God: An Introduction to the Bible

The Bible is the most popular book in the world, filled with the words of God the Father and Jesus. It has guided billions of people across the ages, offering moral direction and spiritual wisdom. Yet, many more people rely on its teachings, without ever having read it.

For many, the Bible can seem overwhelming due to its size and complex structure. Recognising this, Peter Sutton set out to create an approachable introduction to this sacred text. The Story of God is designed for those who have previously struggled to read the Bible, or never considered it.

This book offers a fresh, engaging perspective, inviting readers to explore the timeless wisdom of the Bible in a way that is accessible to all. Whether you’re new to the Bible, or looking for a guide to better understand it, The Story of God provides a starting point for anyone seeking to engage with the most influential book of all time.

About the author

Peter Sutton, a keen Catholic, has held the Bible as a source of hope and inspiration throughout his life. As a business owner and family man, he has endeavoured to integrate his faith into every aspect of life. A casual conversation with friends in 2018, that brought home the rich spiritual and life learnings that the Bible offers sparked the idea for The Story of God and set Peter on the journey to writing his first book. Peter lives in Wahroonga, Sydney, where he and his wife enjoy regular visits to the local cafes, while Peter also enjoys playing golf and teaching himself Italian.
