People penguins are a challenge as they pollute the sea and sometimes frighten little penguins.

About the author
Di Britton [1914-1993] devoted many years to working with Pauline Reilly as a member of the Penguin Study Group on Phillip Island, Victoria, Australia. Pauline wrote about this in her book Fairy Penguins and Earthy People published by Lothian Publishing Company Pty Ltd.
The group was part of the Victorian Ornithological Research Group [VORG], and they undertook their work in the sand-dunes of Summerland Penguin Reserve, near the western tip of Phillip Island, 140 km south-east of Melbourne, Victoria.
Di developed a deep love of the Little Penguins and in the year preceding her untimely death in 1993 wrote this story. It has recently come to light again and is offered for the enjoyment and information of all Little Penguin lovers.
