Finding My Living Soul

Finding My Living Soul is a real life poetic journal of a child of God walking with God. At times the child author Nicole Alexander will let go of God’s grip resembling her ongoing struggle of courage and self-discipline in yielding control to listen and be obedient to God. ‘My spirit shines but my body crumbles’. 

As a child of God, Nicole builds resilience and confidence by drawing on a connection of empathy with people to find purpose and a sense of belonging in knowing God.  She desires most of all for God to love her and be proud of her as a child looking up to her father, and so continually finds God’s grip through positivity in understanding God’s perspective. ‘For I know the Lord is living in my soul, he breathes new life into me making me whole.’

Finding My Living Soul is a reminder to us that we cannot get through life as a Christian or as child of God without God.

The raw and unwavering innocence of the soul is exposed creating a connection with the reader. The author has left a piece of her soul in this work.

About the author
From a young age, Nicole Alexander wandered about the world and questioned why things are the way they are. Her philosophical and logical outlook led her to study engineering, but in her soul she desired to do something creative with her life.

She always believed in God but never really knew God until she experienced depression in her early 30’s. Her writing began during the initial stage of knowing God and after reading Kahlil Gibran’s book ‘The Prophet’, which gave her the idea to put her emotion’s down on paper. At that time, little did she realise that she was on a long and natural progression to sharing her creative passion and love for God to hopefully help others.
