Stephanie Walters earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Philosophy from Charles Sturt University, followed by a Postgraduate Certificate in Editing and Electronic Publishing from Macquarie University. As a professional copyeditor, she finds joy in helping authors refine their words and bring their stories to life. Stephanie’s debut memoir, It’s Not a Sprint, won the 2022 Omega Writers’ CALEB Award in the unpublished non-fiction category.
Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age five, Stephanie has never let it stop her from chasing her dreams. A passionate runner, she has completed five marathons and four ultramarathons, including a six-day, 150-kilometre race through Australia’s Simpson Desert. Stephanie lives in Brisbane with her husband, Geoff, and their three daughters, Mariella, Hannah, and Arna.
