Melissa Parenty has been passionate about reading since childhood, viewing books as a source of knowledge, wisdom, inspiration and adventure into imaginary realms where anything is possible. As a mother of seven, she enjoyed reading quality literature to her children, emphasizing imagination, moral growth and faith. A ‘Nanna’ to an ever increasing bunch of grandchildren (currently numbering nine, and soon to be ten), Melissa continues this tradition with the next generation. Her debut book, The Babushka Tree, draws on the symbolism of the Babushka doll, representing generational connections among women. Alongside her husband, Christophe, she has balanced family life with Christian ministry, international missions, hospitality ventures, and property renovations.
